January 1, 2019! (insert roaring crowd noise here)
Start Time: 1pm (1300 hours to that Happy Band of Brothers) SHARP! And we mean that. Just ask anyone who's done this before.
Location: Hilton Area of Patapsco State Park, Pavilion 201
Cost: $20 because we're tired of making change. What do you get for that pittance? Why do you keep coming? For the crap warm beer, tepid over-boiled food, unraveling T-shirt with a trite saying, week-old
oysters... what was the other thing?
Oh yeah - Trail! miles and miles of shiggy in bone-wrenching cold weather! We promise trails, mud, water, briars, horse-sh!t, annoyed mountain bikers, and yes, Park Rangers who don't understand Zipper's
problem with authority.
Be sure to bring a change of clothes and shoes for the on-after.
Where: Hilton Area of Patapsco State Park, Pavilion 201
When: Jan 1, 1pm SHARP 2019
Directions to run:
From the South:
Take 95 North towards Baltimore and take the BWI exit RT 195. Bear left (West) away from the airport following signs for Rt 166 S. Rolling Road (Catonsville).
Do NOT go to the park ride or to UMBC. At the top of the long ramp bear right onto S. Rolling Road. Follow Rolling Road thru 3 lights as you go past the high school. Stay on South Rolling and go about another quarter mile and there will be a sharp bend in the road where you want to make a left turn (Hilton Ave.)
If you hit the light @ Frederick road straight in the elementary school and come back to Hilton.
Follow Hilton for about 1.5 mi and turn right onto Park Dr. Pass the Ranger Station and pay your park fee. Follow Park Dr around the loop. Our pavilion is the big one near the bathrooms. Yes! There are bathrooms.
We hope they'll be open.
From the North: Take 95 South to the BWI exit RT 195. Go West following signs for Rt 166 S. Rolling Road (Catonsville) and follow the same directions as above.
Dogs friendly run and après.”
