More Info:

This trail is mostly in the shade through a great park full of trails which can get busy from time to time from the locals, but fear not, there's ample room for social distancing and some great things to see making the trip worthwhile. Trail will be marked with normal flour (some colored) and yellow biodegradable flagging tape.

Right around the corner from trail start/end is the Elder Pine Brewery which has ten great beers on tap. They also have three areas for outdoor seating; deck, umbrellas, or under the big pine trees. In all around 36 different picnic tables for your choosing, and all tables are first come, first serve. There is no wait staff, but there is an outdoor bartender on the deck which can take orders, and there is a cleaning crew which sanitize the tables as people leave. Also currently they serve no food, but have food trucks most of the time on the weekends. You can bring whatever food you want, or have it delivered there if for some reason there isn't a food truck, or you want something different. Also Sunshine General Store is close by which is supposed to be a hidden gem with great burgers.

Lastly one mile from Elder Pine and start is a great Maryland farm brewery, Waredaca Brewing Company. This brewery is on an operating horse farm and is another hidden gem with great beers. Please note if you plan on stopping buy for a purchase or looking to stop for a table and some beers, you might want to reserve your brew or table ahead of time through their website; perhaps a little bit before you leave Elder Pine or trail.
